Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Registrasi Perawat Berbasis Web Untuk Mendukung Pembinaan Dan Pengawasan Tenaga Perawat Oleh Majelis Tenaga Kesehatan Provinsi Jawa Tengah

Abstract

A main task of of the Council for Health Worker in the Province of Central Java has  to develop and to monitor nurses by registration activity and certification in order to improve nurse’s professionalism. By registration activity, a nurse would have a competency to avoid malpractice. The activities for developing and monitoring by the Council had not been done optimally because there had not resulted information which was complete, relevant, timely, easy to access, and understandable. Beside that, it had not provided easiness to register and to access information anytime. The objective of this research was to result information system of nurses’ registration based on web to support developing and monitoring nurses at the Council for Health Worker in the Province of Central Java and be able to overcome geographical problems. Development of the system was based on the steps of FAST (Framework for the Application of Systems Techniques). Design of this research was one group pre and posttest. The research variables were completeness, timeliness, relevance, accessibility, and clarity of information. Data were analyzed using a content analysis for data as the result of observation and interview. A descriptive analysis used a considered average, and a statistical analysis used Sign Test. The resulted information system of nurse’s registration that consisted of the components of input, process, and output could support assignment of developing and monitoring by the Council and could overcome the geographical problems namely by executing online registration and accessing information anytime. Based on the descriptive analysis, the score of the considered average on the new system was higher than the score of the considered average on the old system. Based on the result of Sign Test, there was any differences of information quality between the new and the old system (p=0.0001).
