Penggunaan Leaflet Dan Video Dalam Konseling Menyusui Hasil Konseling Menyusul Pada Ibu Primipara Studi Di Puskesmas Mergangsan Yogyakarta

Abstract

Infant mortality is a health problem in Indonesia. Three major causes are pneumonia, diarrhea and infections. One cause of this is formula feeding. MOH (2007) in Yogyakarta City Health Profile of exclusive breast coverage has decreased. One improvement efforts by providing breast - feeding counseling. Mergangsan health centers has done post-natal breast-feeding counseling that aims to maximize the coverage of exclusive breast feeding. But now decreased quite a lot of that is from 50.57% in 2008 to 37.73% in 2009. Implementation of nursing counseling on Mergangsan rarely use a media center. Implementation of counseling using leaflets media, video or modules known to improve the quality of teaching nursing. To determine the effectiveness of videos and leaflets on breastfeeding counseling. This study is a True experimental designs by using the Post Test With Control Group Design with 51 research subjects primiparous mothers who give birth in health centers Mergangsan with a random sample techniques. This study with primary data using ANOVA. The use of videos and leaflets effective in counseling feeding with p – value (0.00). Effectiveness in the control group and the leaflet is 8.470588, the effectiveness of the leaflets and video group is 10.823529, the effectiveness of the control group and the video is 19.294118. The use of leaflets and video effectively in breastfeeding counseling.
